The course is designed to equip participants with advanced knowledge of the structures and principles
of the European Union as well as of the key areas of European business law.
The European Union is one the most important trading partner for Switzerland and many other countries
around the world. Knowing the legal framework of the European Union brings advantages to understand
the rights and obligations for doing business within the European Economic Area and to foresee future
legal developments. Thus, the course provides with a profound introduction to the legal and political
system of the EU and its Common Market. Furthermore, students will learn the key requirements and
obligations arising from key areas of European business law, such as EU competition law, EU financial
market law, anti-money laundering and data protection.
