Advanced Plastic Processing

Lernziele:

Acquire in-depth understanding of the injection molding and compounding/extrusion processes and be able to apply them in practice
Students know the structure of injection molding and extrusion tools.
Students understand the structure and processing methods of fiber-reinforced composites (FRP).
They will be able to select the correct manufacturing process for a component. 

Kurse in diesem Modul

Fiber composite technology / lightweight construction 1:
  • Structure of FRP (semi-finished products, thermosets, thermoplastics, fillers,...)
  • Processing methods of FVW
  • Application examples from the areas of fiber composites/lightweight construction
  • Information on correct material selection and process design
  • Knowledge is applied and deepened in practical courses (hand lay-up, resin infusion, RTM, prepreg autoclave, GMT/SMC, winding/hot pressing)

Mold technology IM and EX: structure, design, application examples
Understanding of process control and its influence on component quality 
Application and consolidation of knowledge in practical courses (filling study, cavity pressure measurement, rheological measurement, compounding, microstructure analysis)
