English: The World of Science

Lernziele:

This module is suitable for students of levels B2 to C1.
Students will develop their ability to communicate in a technical and academic environment. They will know how to write

  • academic papers (abstract, introduction, methods, results, discussion and conclusion sections)
  • feasibility studies
  • research papers
  • environmental impact studies
  • reports
  • business and academic proposals

Students will also be able to actively participate in all technical discourse situations. 

Kurse in diesem Modul

English: The World of Science:

Students will revise their general knowledge of English in a variety of task-based situations focused on the practical needs of engineers. The course is based on a script which contains the foundations of academic writing and also includes topical and exciting material from the world of technology. Students develop their specialist vocabulary on the basis of a self-study task which relates to their core subject. Students also receive the necessary input to pass the widely recognized academic IELTS exam, whereby international student mobility is fostered.
