Inhalte

Modul- und Lerninhalt:

This lecture is taught in the style of a seminar. The lecturer will provide an initial overview over the most important platforms and the relevant security aspects in the first part of the course.

The second part of the course will consist of talks given by the participants presenting current research papers from the area of Platform Security, followed by in-class discussions of the presentation subject. A list of possible papers for presentation will be provided. Participants can and are encouraged to propose papers and topics of their own choosing, subject to approval by the lecturer.

Due to the nature of the course, attendance in person is mandatory. Exceptions can be approved by the lecturer.

Also note that while there is no grade, in order to be allowed to take the exam M_PlFSec, participants need to successfully participate in the paper presentation activities with a presentation of their own in the same semester. The M_PIFSec exam will primarily consist of questions regarding the participant presentations in PFSec of the same semester.

Team presentations are possible, but require more papers to be presented, with the number of papers to be presented being equal to the number of team members.
