Additive manufacturing is an important process for the development and production of physical products. This module provides students with a comprehensive overview of the possibilities and limitations of additive manufacturing. Participants will be enabled to use additive manufacturing to create value in technical applications. The theoretical content of the lecture is applied in a practical project.

This course provides the most important aspects of the use of additive manufacturing processes. After completing the module, participants will know
- the most important additive manufacturing processes and materials
- design principles for the optimal design of 3D printed components
- value-adding application areas of additive manufacturing in industrial companies
- the 3D printing process chain from CAD to production and post-processing
